Why Sleep Is the Most Underrated Training Tool

You don't grow in the gym — you grow in bed. Here's how sleep dictates your results and how to fix it.

Sleep is when protein synthesis peaks, hormones rebalance, and the nervous system recovers. One night under 6 hours can cut strength by 5% and increase perceived exertion the next day.

Aim for 7–9 hours of consistent, high-quality sleep. Cool room, dark environment, no screens for 30 minutes before bed, and consistent sleep/wake times matter more than any supplement.

If your training has plateaued despite doing everything else right, audit your sleep first. Most performance issues resolve when sleep improves.
